The Story

Sambuca of IL GUSTO’s line is a liqueur made by mixing alcohol with star anise oil, aromas infuse, and sugar. Sweet, delicate but intense as the star anise gives it all its characteristic sensory harmony as a ‘’starred’’ recipe should be.

ALCOHOL CONTENT: 40% vol.

COLOUR: Crystal clear

AFTERTASTE: Pleasantly persistent

INGREDIENTS: Starred anise oil, alcohol and sugar

AROMA: Of anise, intense and velvety

SERVING TEMPERATURE: Room temperature or with ice

TASTE: Peculiar, sweet and full-bodied

 

How to serve it
It can be served at room temperature, with ice and the addition of 2-3 coffee beans into the glass. It is a traditional Italian way to serve it called “Sambuca con le Mosche” which means Sambuca with flies.

Accompaniments
ideal after a meal as a digestif, a dash in coffee, as cocktails ingredient, added to ice creams or desserts.
